FEATURE ARTIST: SIREN LINES

SL pico

Introduce yourself and your music:
Delay driven guitars, pounding and swelling heavy drum parts, dancing bass lines and alluring emotive vocals are basically the core of our music.

How would you describe your sound and lyric style?
All of us are fans of a big sound and do our best to create music with a sense of urgency and power. We listen to bands that do this well and try to do this in our own way. Lyrically our music is very emotive and the passion is evident in all our songs. Again, we love music with the same feel and motif and try to do it well oursleves.

Who are your main influences? What else inspires you?
Individually we all have a massive number of influences. Bands from Incubus, Radiohead, Coldplay through to The Strokes, Say Anything and a load more. Having all these diverse influences makes the song writing part of things really fun due to the fact that a song has the potential to go a completely different direction than first thought. Also helps to push each other into diffrent genres that we wouldnt usually dabble in. Really fun.

What are you working on now?
We are currently playing shows in preparation for the release of our EP ‘Sanguine’ which is due out sometime in December. On top of this still continuing to write more music.

Are you touring now?
We have been playing some shows recently around Sydney at Oxford Art Factory and World Bar. We will be touring nationally in January/February of next year as a follow up to the EP release.

What can people expect at your live gigs?
I think our shows are a result of 5 guys really enjoying music in general and really enjoying music that we have worked hard on. I think we all have such a passion to write and play music that we want the audience to enjoy it with us and have the same fun as we do.
