Hello Spring Tour - General - LOW

Our favourite cowboy-loving babe, Lanier Johnston a.k.a Lanie Lane, has just announced that she will be touring the country this September. The 26-year-old stated via social media outlets some days ago that she has emerged from her hibernation and is feeling “very in tune with the seasons”. Its been a while between drinks for fans, but they will be pleased to hear that she has followed up these suggestive statements with a string of shows that will take her to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Lanie’s debut album, ‘To The Horses’, was released in October 2011 and climbed to number 12 on the ARIA charts. The album is 11 tracks long and teeming with raw rockabilly riffs and that bluesy sound that manages to be heartbreaking yet heavenly. Add Lanie’s charmingly sultry vocals and its no surprise that, after a sell-out tour, the Sydney-based artist bagged a swag of accolades including an FBI SMAC Award for Album of the Year, Best Female Artist at The Age EG Awards in 2012 and an AIR Award for Best Blues and Roots album. Not to mention a cheeky collaboration with Jack White.

Alas, the last twelve months has been all quiet on the Lanie front, with the “Hello Spring” tour this September marking her first live shows for 2013. The singer has confirmed that the shows will include a combination of old and new material, that she seems just as excited to share, as we are to hear.
