F A N S are a 3 piece indie band from West Yorkshire.
Dan – Guitar & Vocals
Gab – Drums
Matt – Bass
In the short time since forming in March 2013 we have supported JAWS at The Cockpit in Leeds and played LS21 live festival with Reverend & The Makers and Sunshine Underground. We were also invited to play at Fierce Panda’s Club Fandango in London by label boss Simon Williams. During this time Dan has also played guitar on tracks with Rudimental singer Sinead Harnett and Sony artist Indiana.
Describe your sound and lyric style
We pretty much play noisy alternative/indie/dark guitar/pop/punk with most of the lyrics being about things that go wrong in life.
Who are your main influences? What else inspires you?
Pixies, The Strokes, The Cribs, The Velvet Underground, Jesus & Mary Chain, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Joy Division
What are you working on now?
We’ve been in the studio to record our first EP with producer Matt Peel (The Pigeon Detectives, Keiser Chiefs, Pulled Apart By Horses, The Crookes) so we’re excited about that.
Are you touring now? When/where?
No touring as yet, we’re still really new but hopefully before the end of the year.
What can people expect at your live gigs?
Loud dark pop songs you can still dance to.
Where can people check out your music?
