We’d describe our sound as hard rock, with plenty of catchy, upbeat and head-banging riffs, yet with creepy and dissonant overtones at the same time. The lyrics generally come as an intuitive response to the music, covering dark themes which are reflected in the delivery of the lyrics. In other words, our music is toe-tappingly tragic.Who are your main influences? What else inspires you?
If we had to name names, and we do – Queens of the Stone Age, Nick Cave, and The Tea Party would definitely be some of our major influences.
We’re inspired by our overall love for good music. While we’ve all got our own unique tastes, we can appreciate a good song when we hear it and it gives us something to strive for when writing our own music. A healthy level of intoxication is always a good inspiration too. What are you working on now?
We’ve just finished recording our debut EP Far From The Sun, just getting all the final details (artwork etc.) polished before releasing it. Other than that we’ve been focusing on gigging as much as possible and working on new material for future recordings.
Are you touring now? When/Where?
We’re not touring at the moment. We are trying to play as many gigs as possible between Sydney and the Blue Mountains. We’re working hard at building a solid fan base at home before branching out to the rest of the country.
What can people expect at your live gigs?
We’re a rock band at heart, so loud guitars and even louder drums are a staple. Energy is something we bring to all of our shows, regardless of the size of the crowd. We basically do everything we can to get everyone in the room up and dancing, especially our front man Jon who usually spends more time off stage singing in the middle of the crowd than onstage with the band. If the crowd’s having a great time, then we’re having a great time.
