Introduce yourselves- where are you from and who plays what?
Hi I’m Justin, I play drums in Cold Summer. Dan sings (and plays guitar when writing), Chris Harrison is the guitar player and finally Chris Hepworth plays bass.

Describe your sound and lyric style
Sound wise, well we kind fall under the rock / post hardcore genre –  a mixed influence wise of old school aggressive but melodic bands like Texas is the Reason, Sunny Day Real Estate and Quicksand. We’re also into the heavier bands in the 2000’s like Poison the Well, Thrice, Rise Against, Thursday then up to todays bands like La Dispute, Touche Amore & Defeater. Lyrically I think we’re quite open to interpretation. Dan writes the lyrics from personal experience – so I think people can relate to them quite easily.

Who are your main influences? What else inspires you?
Outside of the aforementioned bands, all of us like quite different stuff but not in a conflicting way. I’m a big fan of the DIY culture/sub culture  – that really inspires me. Being part of something that is really doing your own thing on your own terms and with like-minded people.

What are you working on now?
You’ve asked this question at the perfect time! Well we’ve just started writing some new songs, which will hopefully result in our second album. The next few weeks we’re building up to releasing our debut album, we’ve had quite some positive reviews up to now from sending it out, and we’ve even started selling physical copies at shows.

What can people expect at your live gigs?
We are a bit more confident since the early days of the band.  Both Chris’s have been really keen to add backing vocals, so recently they’ve been very vocal live!

We’re an energetic band – but our main focus when playing live  is a tight set, to do the songs justice – sometimes that prevails over theatrics.

Where can people check out your music?
We’re really big fans of Bandcamp for our digital releases /streaming so they’re all on there:
We released our ‘Wake‘ EP via I-Tunes/Spotify too
We sell our physical releases at shows, but we also have an online store at
