Introduce yourselves- where are you from and who plays what?
We are The Plastic Revolution, and we’re from San Diego. Jake Skolnick sings, plays guitar. Eddie Phanichkul sings backup, and plays bass. Nick Brownlee plays lead guitar. Regina Brown plays violin. Nick Turner plays drums.

Describe your sound and lyric style
The Plastic Revolution is a rock alternative band, with a pop punk sound. Our lyrics are edgy and emotional, and we’re a lively bunch. Our music is always evolving.

Who are your main influences? What else inspires you?
We all have a variety of influences, and our tastes are quite eclectic.
Jake has always loved southern California bands like Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, and Strung Out.
Eddie’s always been in love with rock, alternative and grunge sounds. He likes everything from Nirvana and Pearl Jam to Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse.
Nick Brownlee loves that 60s and 70s rock sound and loves Jimi Hendrix. You can hear it in his guitar playing.
Regina is a classically trained violinist and still plays for an orchestra. She has an eclectic ear as well and loves bands like Gogol Bordello.
Nick Turner loves music. He’s been fortunate enough to have played with Blink 182 and Jimmy Eat World. He loves Michael Jackson and has a thing for Taylor Swift. We aren’t sure if it’s healthy or not, his love for Taylor Swift. We’re all inspired by each other’s influences and love that we come from such a diverse background.

What are you working on now?
We’re working on our third studio album and planning on some bigger tours.

Are you touring now? When/where?
Currently, we have a few local shows including the House of Blues, and we are playing UC Davis’ Picnic Day. This will be our third time at UC Davis for the 99th annual Picnic Day celebration. We typically have one tour per year and are looking to hook up with some bigger, headlining bands.

What can people expect at your live gigs?
People should expect high energy, lots of dancing, and a rock experience that will leave them breathless.

Where can people check out your music?
Our music can be found on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon and ReverbNation.com
