From AC/DC to INXS, Cold Chisel to The Angels – each band has made their own impact on the local and international industry to different extents.Undoubtedly, there are few people today who wouldn’t recognise the past achievements of latest rock ‘supergroup’, The Dead Daisies.
Forged on the back of solid careers, Jon Stevens [Noiseworks, INXS], Charley Drayton [Divinyls, Cold Chisel], Richard Fortus [Guns N’ Roses], Jim Hilburn [The Angels, Divinyls], David Lowy [Mink, The Angels] and Alan Mansfield [Robert Palmer] came together as a permanent fixture to support ZZ Top during their recent Australian tour. Word quickly spread of the bands formation, with hints that a collaboration with legendary guitarist Slash was also in the works.
