FEATURE ARTIST: POLAR CAPS

Polar Caps

Introduce yourselves- where are you from and who plays what?

I’m Polar Caps, an Alt. Pop artist from London. I write, produce and perform every element of what you hear on record but have a full backing band when rocking it live.

Describe your sound/lyric style

My sound is a blend of electro pop mixed with acoustics and a rock vibe at times, especially live. Lyrically I am similar to Death Cab For Cutie and Josh Pyke so I mainly write about life experience.

Who are your main influences? What else inspires you?

Anything from Friendly Fires, Ellie Goulding and Imogen Heap to Tears For Fears and Fleetwood Mac. Also people that I encounter in life, human behaviour and even astronomy, which are definitely reflected in one way or another in my music.

What are you working on now?

I’m currently writing for my 2nd EP and also have a new single/video coming out in the next couple of months amongst other goodies in the pipeline.

Are you touring now? When/where?

I am hibernating for the winter, busy with the writing but to keep up to date with upcoming events visit/like the FB page: www.facebook.com/polarcaps

What can people expect at your live gigs?

My songs? haha no in all seriousness you can expect an energetic show, it’s the only time I get any real exercise. Plus a lot of crowd participation, I’m big on that.

Where can people check out your music?

The main place really is my Facebook page (facebook.com/polarcaps) but also my site/blog (www.polarcapsmusic.com) has links to various other socials. If you want to follow on Twitter: @IAmPolarCaps.

My debut EP ‘Solutions‘ is on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon etc. all links can be found on the Facebook page.
