Introduce yourselves- where are you from and who plays what?
We are Leo Stillman ( Guitar+vocals ) Benjamin Lehti ( Bass ) Oscar Kuusto ( Drums ) and together we are Face Of God from Helsinki,
Describe your sound and lyric style
Well, our sound is everything between the sound of crying kids to the sound of the last breath of old people.
Our lyrics are pretty much about love, hate, death and despair of a young man. My lyrics are definitely a way to get away. For me, writing
has always been really like spitting in someones face or crying on someones shoulder- it really helps me to handle this whole universe.
Who are your main influences? What else inspires you?
We all have different bands that we would die for, but they all are rock and we are huge guitar rock fans.
We love Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, Black Sabbath, HIM, Biffy Clyro, Bonnie Prince Billy, Kings Of Leon and the list goes on and on.
We really like bands that work hard and make the music because of the music. For us, our band is a lifestyle and a way to do something
creative. I love music that has some magic on it. I’m a huge dreamer and I try to see the world with the same eyes I saw it when I was a child. That really inspires me.
What are you working on now?
We are working on our first album. Still practising some new songs and recording demos in the studio. It’s our first album and you have that chance only once, so we don’t wanna rush. We have new songs coming all the time so its really hard to choose the songs for the album.
Are you touring now? When/where?
Right now we’re not touring, we still have one show coming in this year and it’s on legendary Helldone festival @ Tavastia.
We’re gonna be the opening act for headliners, HIM. It’s a huge honor and we are really exited. It’s crazy because I grew up with listening to HIM and now we’re gonna play with them, anything is possible!
What can people expect at your live gigs?
We are pretty agressive live band but we also have our sensitive side. Three guys doing what they love, music.
