Describe your sound and lyric style
We’re a rock band who write songs about our life experiences. If you like Jimmy Eat World or Anberlin you might like us.
Who are your main influences? What else inspires you?
As we were growing up we listened to a lot of punk rock bands. In the beginning we’d just try to imitate them. Getting older artists like Tom Petty or Butch Walker taught us how to craft a song. There’s also bands like Jimmy Eat World who have been together for ever and continually write great songs, they’re a great example on how to be a band.
Other influences for us come from many things, over the years we’ve had friends in our lives come to harm and on the flip-side we’ve seen others become great people. We’ll write about them sometimes, other times we’ll write on our own self-reflection.
What are you working on now?
Over the past year we’ve been looking after ourselves. We severed ties with our management and a record label.
Since then we’ve been in and out of the country working on our new record with our two favourite producers, Michael Baskette and Sonny Truelove, which we’ll be releasing soon.
What can people expect at your live gigs?
Our live gigs become one big sing a long by the end show.
Where can people check out your music?
We’re available through all the usual online stores, but to us music is free so we’ve made our tunes available for free at www.angelasdish.org
