REVIEW: WE THREE AND THE DEATH RATTLE: “Hey Detonator” – [Single]

We Three and the Death Rattle – ‘Hey Detonator’ [Single]

Reviewed by Emma Dean

We Three and the Death Rattle are currently making waves in the indie/alternative/post-punk scene with their latest single ‘Hey Detonator‘, having worked with artists such as The Kills and the Hold Steady.

Dark bluesy guitars, matched with distinctive high-pitched vocals and industrial backbeats make ‘Hey Detonator’ an unusual mix of old and new. It might not get you out of your seat dancing, but it will certainly get your attention.

The guitars ultimately make this track, instantly moody and drawing you into a dark world, complemented by the haunting backing vocals which grate against the main vox.

The track will be available as a free download until 2nd September – http://soundcloud.com/wethreeandthedeathrattle/wtatdr-hey-detonator
